Mercer Island Transformation

This Mercer Island home was reimagined from an unassuming mid-century residence into a charming, modern farmhouse with character, warmth, and a renewed sense of place. Substantial additions at both the front and rear of the home, paired with a thoughtfully redesigned roofline. The additions transformed the home's overall proportions and established a cohesive architectural style. The expanded footprint created new opportunities for indoor-outdoor living while accommodating spaces tailored to the needs of a growing family. Distinctive architectural details bring personality and charm throughout the home, including a round window that adds a playful touch to the exterior and a tucked-away children's play area beneath the staircase. Inside, a spacious new kitchen serves as the heart of the home, connecting everyday family life with gathering and entertaining. A cozy sitting room with skylights and a fireplace provides a light-filled retreat, while the outdoor living area extends the home's functionality with a covered kitchen and comfortable seating space for year-round enjoyment. The transformed home blends farmhouse character with modern functionality, creating inviting spaces for family living, entertaining, and enjoying the connection between indoors and out.
